Island Tide Sportfishing offers trips out of Comox, Port McNeill and Port Hardy. It’s your choice!

What’s Included:

  • Fully guided fishing experience on the “Lutra”, a ThunderJet “Chinook” – 20’ covered, fully welded aluminum fishing boat, targeting:
    • Salmon,
    • Ling Cod,
    • Halibut,
    • Rock Fish,
    • Prawns
    • and Crab.
  • Our boat is Transport Canada Registered and equipped with all required safety gear, floatation devices, VHF, radar, and up-to-date electronic navigation.
  • All the latest tackle, 10′ rods, Islander reels, and Scotty electric downriggers – everything needed for a successful and fun fishing experience.
  • Fuel.
  • Bait.
  • Light snacks and water.
  • All fish cleaned and bagged.

What’s not included

  • Tidal fishing license.
    • These can be purchased online. Click here for link.
    • NOTE: all passengers must purchase a recreational tidal water fishing license, valid for the days you intend to fish.
    • Also, be sure to buy the Salmon tag for all licenses. The tag is required to keep a salmon.
    • A printed copy of your license must be carried with you while fishing. All catch must be recorded in ink on the license at the time of catch.
    • Please make sure you print off a copy before the trip.
  • Foul weather gear.
    • Dress for the day.
    • Dress in layers as conditions can change quickly.
    • Bring gloves if the weather is cool.
  • On board facilities.
    • Our boat does not have a washroom, but we do carry a Luggable Loo with compostable liners and we can set up a privacy curtain if required. For more info on Luggable Loo click here
  • Meals.
    • We do provide light snacks, tea, coffee and bottled water but you should bring whatever lunch and beverages you may want
  • GST and gratuity

RATES

All trips based on a full 8 hours; however, if you would rather a shorter trip or if the trip is cut short for any reason (weather, sea sickness, etc.) we will refund the time not on the water.

We can accommodate from 1 to 4 guests per trip.

Trip cost $950 + GST (CAD).

A $200 deposit is required at time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 48 hours prior to date of trip

ABOUT US

My name is Pete Bourgeois, and I am the guide and owner of Island Tide Sportfishing. I have decades of experience on the waters all around Vancouver Island, the Mainland coast and Haida Gwaii. I am trained in small vessel operations, VHF Radio Licenced, First Aid and Marine Safety Certified.

As a member of The Sport Fishing Institute (SFI), I support this non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and protecting sustainable sport fishing opportunities in BC. Check them out here.  We believe in providing you an opportunity to get out on the water with an expectation to retain your catch, while working within the current regulations.
